If you haven’t been over to Stewart Island yet, then I highly recommend that you do so!  The sleepy looking little township of Oban belies the fact that it’s actually a hub of activity.  There are boat, fishing Ulva Island, bus, flight and kiwi and blue penguin spotting tours.  You can hire bikes including e-bikes and scooters and go exploring.  There is even a greenstone workshop, (which was a wonderful experience.)  Beautiful little beaches and bays are all within walking distance.  Plus the locals are all so friendly – you’ll love the Quiz night at the local South Sea Hotel on Sunday nights!
